terms of service

01. general information

✦ I have the right to decline any commission requests for any reason without having to state why.

02. payment

✦ Payment via PayPal and in USD/PHP only.

✦ Full payment upfront; commission cannot be started otherwise.

✦ Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to take on your commission request. I will send an invoice via PayPal once a price has been agreed upon and I am ready to begin on your order.

03. process & delivery

✦ Working period starts after payment has been made and may vary from 1 day to 3 months. Specific deadlines cannot be set and rush delivery cannot be requested.

✦ A commission may be paused at any time for any reason. I will state why and give an estimated date as to when I will be able to pick it up again.

✦ At least one to four Work in Progress (WIP) updates will be sent throughout the process (thumbnail, sketch, lineart, flat colour). More will be sent if necessary. For a more in-depth view of the drawing process please refer to here.

✦ Once the piece has been finished, a full resolution image will be sent to your email along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product.

04. revisions

✦ Upon showing WIP updates, you are allowed to request for revisions to be made.

✦ Up to 5 revisions may be requested on the initial sketch, any more beyond that MAY bring about an additional fee.

✦ Certain changes made after the sketch has been approved or after the piece has been finished may entice an extra fee depending on the change made, unless the change is due to a misunderstanding on my part.

✦ For fully-rendered orders: big revisions requested after the commission has been finished/half of the piece has been fully rendered (e.g. a complete change in clothing, pose, background, etc.) will not be accepted.

05. cancellation & refund policy

✦ Refunds, both in full and partial, are not allowed after the commission has been started.

✦ Cancellation and refunds are possible only if the commission hasn't been started yet or, for whatever reason, I am unable to start it.

✦ If you are getting a refund, do not request a PayPal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.

✦ Refunds will only include the amount of money that I received myself and will not include the amount that Paypal has deducted, if any.

✦ If you request a PayPal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund you will lose all beforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. Furthermore, you will be blacklisted from commissioning me again.

06. copyright & usage

✦ I retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork.

✦ I reserve the right to use the commission in any way I want except for commercial use (e.g. posting, portfolios, etc.) without having to state your username in the description.

✦ The client is allowed to use the artwork however they want as long as the way they are used does not conflict with any other terms.

✦ The client is allowed to upload the artwork on any website and social channels as long as they do not claim it as their own and proper credit has been given (e.g. "credit to @barsoleils").

✦ The client, as well as myself, cannot profit from the commissioned piece in any way (e.g. reselling, redistributing, using as NFT, make prints, etc.)

✦ The artwork may not be altered in any way without my permission.

07. communication

✦ Communication takes place through any of my social media accounts' DMs.

✦ It's perfectly to not be so stiff and formal when talking to me; you can even chat with me about certain things not directly related to your commission, if you'd like! However, please keep in mind that I will always take business/transactions seriously and will not tolerate you overstepping my boundaries.

✦ Conversations must be in English only.

step-by-step process

Reading this section is OPTIONAL. You don't have to if you don't want to!

01. inquiry

✦ The client plans out their commission request with as much detail as possible. Afterwards they are to fill out and send the commission template in the next section to any of my social media accounts' DMs for review and approval.

02. discussion & agreement

✦ I will send a message to the client with the purpose to clarify/negotiate certain details of the request before accepting and/or present a quote.

03. waitlisting/payment

✦ Once the quote is accepted, the client will either be placed on my waitlist or sent an invoice via PayPal. An invoice will only be sent once I am ready to start on the commission and must be paid in full before the commission is started.

04. production

✦ A minimum of three Work in Progress (WIP) updates will be sent during the drawing process; sketch, lineart and flat colour. Thumbnails are also possible if I really have to think about the composition.

✦ After the flat colours have been approved, the rendering process will then begin. Small color shifts can still be made for free as long as I have not yet fully rendered the parts to be changed. If the color shift involves a complete change in the artwork's atmosphere/theme, an additional fee must be paid.

✦ Big revisions requested after the commission has been finished/half of the piece has been fully rendered (e.g. a complete change in clothing, pose, background, etc.) will not be accepted. Smaller revisions are negotiable.

05. delivery

✦ Once the piece has been finished, a full resolution image (PNG & 300 DPI) will be sent to your email along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product.
